Welcome to the Hinsdale Center for the Arts

     The Hinsdale Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), regional arts agency serving the west suburban Chicagoland region.  In  1996, the Hinsdale Center for the Arts was designated by the Illinois Arts Council as an Established Regional Arts Institution, and was the 1999 winner of the prestigious Governor's Award for the Arts.  The Center offers a wide range of high quality visual, literary, and performing arts programs including exhibitions, classes. lessons. workshops, festivals, outreach programs, technical assistance to arts organizations and artists, and regranting programs.  Revenues from operations, contributions from corporations, foundation, and individuals, and grants from the Illinois Arts Council support the HCA.

     The mission of the Hinsdale Center for the Arts is to educate, encourage and facilitate participation in the arts. The HCA believes the arts are to be celebrated and shared, thereby enriching individual and community life.

     The instructional programs at the Hinsdale Center for the Arts are designed to provide an environment for aspiring artists and art enthusiast of all ages to enjoy the arts under the guidance of HCA's extremely experienced professional teaching artists.  To assure individual instruction. classes are kept small in size.  Classes and workshops are offered during the day. evenings and weekends for adults and children of all ages and skill levels.  Instruction is of the finest quality with a faculty of practicing artists in the visual, literary, and performing arts.  Each instructor brings a wealth of knowledge and commitment to the classroom.  The HCA is striving to respond to the needs of the communities in the western suburbs and welcomes suggestions and comments.  

     The Hinsdale Center for the arts is located in Katherine Legge Memorial Park, 5903 South County Line Road in Hinsdale.  Administrative office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am-7 pm and Saturday, 9 am-3 pm.  Classes extend into the evening hours Monday-Friday.  The Office phone number is (630) 887-0203.
